We are hiring a seasonal Supply Chain Manager who will lead the company?s supply operations in Mississauga to ensure maximum productivity and customer success. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating all purchasing activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
? Develop purchasing policies and procedures and control purchasing department budget
? Identify vendors of materials, equipment or supplies
? Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services
? Negotiate or oversee the negotiation of purchase contracts
? Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials
? Review and process claims against suppliers
? Developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining supply chain management strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operations
? Handling all correspondence and negotiations with suppliers
? Optimizing warehouse functions
? Training employees about safety guidelines and protocols
? Reporting any accidents or injuries that occur on the floor
? Collaborating with internal departments to identify and close any operational gaps
? Preparing and submitting weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
? Monitoring costs and staying within allocated budgets, and preparing reports
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
? Has 3-5 years of experience as Supply Chain Manager in the food production or pharmaceutical industry
? Supply chain management related certifications
? Knowledgeable in developing purchasing policies and procedures and controlling purchasing department budget
? Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) Production Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting and Logistics
? Experience in evaluation and cost of goods or services
? Strong negotiation skills in purchasing contracts
